Content provided, sourced, vetted, and hosted by ASID Education builds understanding of interior design concepts and relevant skills for practical, on-the-job application with defined outcomes. Enriching and engaging learning experiences spark curiosity and inspire new ways of thinking. Education Providers, including Industry Partners, Practitioners, and Educators, support learners in advancing their careers. Through Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Learning Resources, ASID offers channels to reach learners through programs, events, and online learning. ASID Education Guidelines

Current and aspiring interior design continuing education providers who want to reach the ASID audience should use the ASID Education Guidelines when developing content. The intent is to provide the best possible experience for learners to support the advancement of the interior design profession. The ASID Education Guidelines along with Best Practices for Content Development are tools to help organize and structure content to be delivered through ASID platforms and programs.

ASID Knowledge Contributors

The ASID Knowledge Contributors program provides the opportunity for ASID members (Industry Partners, Practitioners, and Educators) to host on-demand professional development content on the ASID Academy, the online resource to support career development and growth for interior designers.

Content including CEUs or other learning resources will be peer reviewed by ASID volunteer experts for inclusion on curated catalogs on the ASID Academy. Your thought leadership will be featured in front of your target audience as a vetted resource for interior designers.

INTERNATIONAL DESIGN CONTINUING EDUCATION COUNCIL (IDCEC)

The International Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) is the centralized registry for interior design continuing education units (CEUs). Those interested in becoming a CEU provider must register with IDCEC for continuing education course approval. Learn about how to become an IDCEC individual, corporate, or preferred provider on the IDCEC website.

ASID PARTNER MEMBER BENEFIT

IDCEC offers ASID Industry, Firm, and Affiliate Partners discounted annual fees to those who register as first-time educational providers. 

  • Available to ASID Industry Partners, Firm Partners, and Affiliate Partners not currently registered as providers with IDCEC. 
  • Annual membership fee waived for the first year of Corporate provider (value of $420 per year).  
  • Annual membership fee discounted by $500 for the first year of Preferred Provider (value of $6,000 per year). 
  • Subsequent years will be at the full rate, invoiced in January each year.  
  • Class-code fees will be at the full rate ($11 per in-class schedule or $60 distance learning courses – one-time fee valid until expiry of course). There are no course submission fees for Preferred Providers. 
  • Terms of Discount: ASID Industry, Firm, Higher Education, and Affiliate Partners must be committed to developing and offering generic continuing education to approximately 35,000 interior designers across North America.  
  • Note: IDCEC offers a discount on the Preferred Provider option to accredited academic institutions at $1,150 per year.  

When an ASID organizational partner is ready to take advantage of this benefit, contact membership@asid.org for a reference letter that will provide you with the special IDCEC discount.
